You will actually continue to stay with us if you participate in the bonus events. We will support you not only throughout the 10 weeks but also in the period that follows, helping you with your next steps. We will offer additional language learning opportunities tailored to your level and type.
Sessions: 10 x 90-minutes ZOOM classes
90 minutes provides enough time for all five learners to receive attention and participate in sufficient practice. In addition to meeting once a week, it's also important to allow time for independent practice so that you can deepen your understanding of the material.
Recordings: All sessions will be recorded and available for review.
This way, you can save the lessons in a video course format and rewatch them anytime you want to practice or review.
This program is designed for beginner Hungarian language learners who are starting from scratch but currently too busy to commit to a course for several months. We welcome applicants who want to acquire usable basic knowledge of Hungarian and learn not only the language but also how to practice independently in the future.
Language learning never truly ends, which is why we do not promise miracles or fluency after just a few weeks. However, you can expect a professional, well-structured program with continuous language support, exciting bonuses, and additional group events.
By the end of the program, you will be able to express yourself using simple sentences, introduce yourself, formulate questions, and engage in short dialogues. This is ideal if you want to build a strong foundation for your language skills, allowing you to delve deeper into learning independently later on. Regardless of your goal—whether for work, study, or other purposes—language proficiency starts with the basics, which you can then build upon in the future.
You’ll master the mysteries of vowel harmony, and learn useful, simple grammatical structures like possessive constructions, which will help you express yourself well, even at a beginner level.
You’ll learn practical phrases that will help you speak Hungarian, such as introducing yourself, talking about your family and hobbies, using greetings, and asking simple questions.
We will discuss your hometown and practice various situations.
You won’t just learn the language, but also how to communicate effectively, how to respond if you don’t understand something, and how to speak confidently even as a beginner.
The program is not too long, so you don’t have to commit for months, but it does provide a good foundation to help you decide whether you want to dive deeper into Hungarian language learning.

Lesson Plans and Notes: Saved and shared with you
We will share all the words and notes from the class with you, so you can always review the current vocabulary. You can print out the lesson plans and notes or practice on your phone—whatever is most convenient for you. The important thing is that nothing will go to waste; all the learning materials will be yours.
Live Language Support: Available through chat during classes.
Keep an eye on the chat because I'll be taking notes. If you feel hesitant to speak, help will come through the chat. Later, I’ll save these notes and share them with you in a document.By using the live chat, we aim to help you minimize the need to speak in English as much as possible.

Mindful START video
A video that helps you understand some important aspects of language learning will assist you in getting the most out of the program as a beginner. I believe that if we understand what we are doing and why in language learning, we can develop much more consciously and effectively.
Grammar Tests and Reaction Cards
During the program, you can test yourself. I will send three tests that will help you assess your knowledge, but remember that true assessment always comes through live communication. Of course, we will practice this as well. This practice will be supported by printable reaction cards, which will help reinforce everyday practical expressions.
3 x 60-Minute Open Office Hours: Live sessions where I’ll answer all your questions.
Once a month, I open my virtual office to learners from all around the world, and they can ask me questions. If you join, I will answer your specific language learning questions as well, helping you become more successful.
Invitation to the Hungarian Christmas Party and New Year’s Reframe Your Hungarian ZOOm events
At these extra events, you’ll have the chance to meet other learners from around the world who are also studying Hungarian. We’ll get to know each other a bit, exchange experiences, and celebrate this year together while preparing for the next academic year.
The program will end with a project. If you send me your writing, which will be an introductory piece covering topics such as the individual, family, hobbies, and free time, within a specified timeframe, I will correct it for you and provide useful feedback.
